One Syrian national has been killed in a dispute between two families at a refugee camp in the southern Turkish province of Kahramanmaraş.

A brawl erupted on Sunday night between two families in the Syrian refugee camp in the Doğukent neighborhood of Kahramanmaraş and 18-year-old Ahmet Khudur was stabbed and heavily wounded.

The teenager was taken to Necip Fazıl Şehir Hospital but doctors could not save his life.

Three Syrian refugees were detained after the incident and security forces are searching for the assailant. Authorities deployed riot police to the refugee camp to alleviate tensions.

Turkey is currently housing more than 110,000 Syrian refugees in one container-type and 12 tent camps. Nearly 700 Syrians are being treated in Turkish hospitals.
