Turkey shelters 182.000 Syrian refugees

The number of Syrian refugees living in camps in Turkey has risen to 182.000.

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu who reproached European countries regarding aid to Syrians, said that aid extended by Turkey alone is more than total aid extended by the EU.

Davutoglu gave information at Turkey-Europe Mixed parliamentary meeting, about the latest situation related to Syrian refugees.

“26.315 students are going to school, 110 courses have been opened. 702.137 people are receiving treatment in field hospitals. 2.393 children were born. These are the children of the camp” he said.

Reproaching European parliamentarians regarding aid to Syria, Davutoğlu said : “ It was stated that aid extended by Europe amounts to about 400 million Euros. Turkey, by itself, has extended more aid to the camps that total aid extended by the EU.”
