AS OF TODAY, REPUBLİC OF TURKEY HAS 107.769 SYRIAN CITIZENS
As of today, Republic of Turkey has 107.769 Syrian Citizens in 13 tent cities, a temporary reception center and a container city established by Prime Ministry, Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD).
5 tent cities in Hatay, 2 in Şanlıurfa, 3 in Gaziantep, 1 in Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye and Adıyaman, in total 13 tent cities, and a container city in Kilis, has a capacity to shelter 12.000 people, have been established by our Presidency.
Due to interior conflicts occured in Syria on April 2011, more than 150.000 Syrian Citizens have crossed the border till today and all kind of humanitarian aid supplies have been provided by Prime Ministry AFAD in camps for more than a year.
Sheltering, food, health, security, social activities, education, worship, translatorship, communication, banking and other services have been provided in tent cities and containers by related organizations and institutions within the coordination of our Presidency.
Our Presidency, which is authority organization to conduct cooperation in time of national and international disaster and emergencies on behalf of our country, has conducted the coordination in tent cities and container city.
The camps, have been established with allocation provided by our Presidency, include schools, mosques, centers of commercial, police and medical, press brifing agency, playing field for children, units for watching TV, reservoir, purification center, transformers and generators.
Three times a day, the supply of hot meals for Syrian Citizens in tent cities and container city is still ongoing.
•Until today, 152.051 Syrian Citizens have crossed the border.
•Until today, 44.282 Citizens returned to their country.
•As of today, 12.198 Syrian Citizens in Hatay, 20.737 people in Gaziantep ( 8.091 of whom are in İslahiye, 6.733 of whom are in Karkamış and 5.913 of whom are in Nizip), 12.826 people in Kilis, 33.203 people in Şanlıurfa ( 19.113 of whom are in Ceylanpınar, 14.090 of whom are in Akçakale tent cities), 13.938 people in Kahramanmaraş, 8.407 people in Osmaniye and 5.660 people in Adıyaman have been sheltered.
•800 people have been in hospitals, 692 of whom are injured and patients.
•Included the injured and patients, the total number of Syrian Citizens in our country is 107.769.
